Who Are Elf Pets® and How Do They Work?

Who are the Elf Pets?
Elf Pets are Santa’s official animal helpers from the North Pole. Each cuddly companion has a special Christmas mission and comes with a storybook that explains how they help Santa, his Scout Elves and the magic of Christmas.

Can children touch Elf Pets?
Yes. Elf Pets are made for gentle hugs, cuddles and imaginative play. Children can hold them close, include them in festive adventures and care for them as part of their family’s Christmas tradition.

Do Elf Pets stay all year?
Yes. Elf Pets can stay with your family all year long, helping children keep the spirit of Christmas close through stories, play and comforting moments throughout the year, even after the decorations come down.

Are Elf Pets part of The Elf on the Shelf?
Elf Pets are friends of Santa’s Scout Elves and part of the wider Santaverse, the enchanted world of Santa Claus. They are different from Scout Elves, but belong to the same magical storytelling universe.
About Elf Pets
Elf Pets are Santa’s official North Pole animal helpers, created to bring children even closer to the magic of Christmas. Each Elf Pets character has a meaningful role in Santa’s world, from helping his sleigh soar to keeping Christmas Spirit strong and making sure rooftops are ready for Christmas Eve landings.
Elf Pets are especially loved by families because they are hands-on, huggable and easy to bring into everyday moments. They can join bedtime stories, Christmas movie nights, summer holiday adventures, breakfast time or quiet cuddles after a busy day.
Through their storybooks and cuddly companionship, they create a gentle bridge between imaginative play, early reading and treasured family tradition.
Learn About Each of the

Reindeer
Elf Pets Reindeer are cared for by families all year long. Powered by children’s love, they help Santa’s sleigh fly on Christmas Eve. A magical choice for Australian families who love imagining Santa’s Christmas Eve journey around the world.

Arctic Fox
Elf Pets Arctic Fox cubs help create magical snow so Santa’s sleigh can land softly on rooftops. Their story celebrates hope, belief and the quiet magic children carry in their hearts.

Saint Bernard
Elf Pets Saint Bernard pups help gather the strength of children’s faith and goodwill to keep Christmas Magic strong. A cosy companion for families who love stories about kindness, cheer and helping Santa.
How do Elf Pets
Help The Elf on the Shelf
and Santa Claus?
Elf Pets and The Elf on the Shelf Scout Elves are all part of Santa’s enchanted world, but they have different roles.
Scout Elves arrive during December and fly to the North Pole each night to report to Santa. Elf Pets stay with families all year long, can be cuddled and also help build the Christmas Spirit Santa needs for his biggest night of the year.
Elf Pets can also join Scout Elf scenes, festive surprises and family traditions throughout December. They make the magic feel bigger, warmer and easier for children to hold onto.
